Kengeri

Kengeri is a locality in South Bangalore, developed by the Development Authority (BDA). Kengeri is well known for its satellite township developed by the Karnataka Housing Board. There are many prominent areas in the Kengeri-Kanakapura region, such as the BEML Layout, Banashankari (5th and 6th stages) and Subramanyapura. In addition to this, the area is in close proximity to major residential belts of Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Uttarahalli.

Kengeri is strategically located towards West and offers smooth connectivity to other major areas in the city such as Rajarajeshwari Nagar (7.7 Km), Jnana hi (7.6 km) and Nayandahalli (9.1 km). The Mysore Road is a major road that connects Kengeri to other parts of Bangalore such as Ramanagar, Chennapatna, Mandya and Maddur. Kengeri is only 1.5 km away from Bangalore – Mysore highway, 1 km from the Nagarbhavi-Kengeri main road and a couple of minutes’ drive away from the NICE Road. The area is well-connected by BMTC buses which connect it to different parts of Bangalore. Kengeri railway station is on the Bangalore-Mysore rail route and is a junction for numerous inter-city trains.
